Cottage Eight Films

Cory Jacobs and Jason Schmidt make mighty films together under the name Cottage Eight Films.

In 2023 they paid a visit to designer Lenny Steinberg in Venice Beach, creating a short film whose wit and sophistication echo that of its subject. It’s baffling that such a talented designer hasn’t become more of a household name. Her mirrored furniture is fantastic!

We had the pleasure of working with Cory and Jason on a film for the hotel Nine Orchard, where their care and curiosity shone through. With every project, they comprehensively research their subject, and bring refinement and a sense of play.
