Poupay

Jutharat Pinyodoonyachet, known as Poupay, is a Bangkok-born, New York–based street photographer celebrated for her vivid, flash-lit scenes of everyday life.

Free of judgment, but full of joy and humility, Poupay gleans unexpected humor and peculiarities in urban life and at high-profile events. She says she likes being a fly on the wall, and she does it well at events such as the Met Gala and Oscars parties. What started out as a hobby in Bangkok soon turned into a desire to delve deeper into photography. Poupay studied at ICP in New York and continued honing her skill on the streets of New York.

She regularly shoots for The New York Times (this image of Greta Lee was a NYT assignment), New York Magazine, and Vogue, and some of her commercial clients include Meta, Netflix and Eataly. She is represented by Redeye.
