Christian Delfino

Christian Delfino, originally from Florida, splits his time between New York and California. 

For his series Hydrators, he stationed himself at a tough point in the NYC marathon — just past the Queensboro Bridge — and photographed runners reaching for paper cups containing a few gulps of water. Zooming in on what may go unnoticed by others, Delfino captured the tiny water droplets falling from thirsty marathoners’ mouths. With the same attention, he documented the chalk powder puffs, unknowingly created by wall climbers in his series All rise climbing.

He is drawn to sports, travel and architecture, and has shot for Arc'teryx, The New York Times, and Monocle.
