Celeste Sloman

Celeste Sloman is a New York–born photographer and director whose work spans portraits of cultural figures, public personalities, and activists. She balances her editorial and commercial assignments with ongoing personal projects, including a recent exploration of Deborah Needleman’s basket-weaving. The project featured here turns its attention to Mary McGill’s beautifully crafted jewelry.

Her images have appeared in The New York TimesTime Magazine, and The Wall Street Journal, and her clients include Prada, Universal, and the ACLU.

Celeste divides her time between New York City and the Catskills and is represented by Copious Management.
